The following was on the inside cover of 'Gleams Over the Horizon'.
WILL DOCTOR ROBINSON BE ASSASSINATED?
I love the church, and would be active in it now if I could secure membership. Unfortunately, I cannot say "yes" to the question: "Do you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior?" If the church asked me if I believed in the Spirit of the eternal God as my refuge, strength, savior, I could say "yes" and then I should be as active for the church as I am active for it now, But I should be doing this inside its ranks instead of outside.
The Christian church is split into two big divisions, Catholic and Protestant. The Catholics teach that God had a mother while the Protestants teach that God gave birth to a male child. God is Spirit-the Invisible Spirit of Life, of peace, of power, of, joy. but always, God is Spirit-the creative Spirit of Eternal Life which brought into being everything which has being. As such, to me, it is preposterous to think that God-the great invisible Spirit, God, ever had a father, mother, daughter, son, brother, or sister. As "Spirit," God could not have had any of these relatives. If this be true, then any system of religion founded on the theory that God did have a mother, father, brother, sister, daughter, or son, must of needs be an unsound system.
The Christian church, both branches, teaches that the doctrines of immaculate conception, virgin birth, atonement, crucifixion and resurrection, are original doctrines, revealed on earth for the first time by God, and through the Christian religion.
This book, however, proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that all of these doctrines were known to millions of adherents of religions now called "heathen" and "pagan," and this, long, long before Christianity was ever heard of. If this be a fact, then it is quite possible that the actual truths of God cannot have been brought to the world as yet by either branches of the Christian church. This I believe with all the fervor and honesty of my nature. And the whole "PSYCHIANA" Movement exists for the express purpose of bringing the truth of the Invisible Spirit, God, to the earth.
Will I be assassinated? I do not know, and I care less. I would gladly lay down my life if, by so doing, I could bring to the world a true picture of God, for, in my opinion, no such picture has been brought to it to date by any existing system of religion. The condition of the world proves that. If the book causes my assassination, or further persecution, it will only be history repeating itself. But, as ever, my whole life will be and remain under the protecting care of the Spirit of the Infinite God, which God never had a father, mother, brother, sister, son, or daughter.
